Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced to give the latest Core i7 13th generation laptops through Maryam Nawaz Laptop Scheme 2024 Start in 90 days by taking an important step for the students of Punjab. Under this scheme, laptops will be provided to matric and FSC position holders, while 2000 minority students will also be given this facility. Apart from this, students from various fields like computer science, medicine, engineering, social sciences, business, agriculture, and other academic fields will also be a part of this program. According to the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, laptops will be given to the students on the basis of merit and guard of honor will also be given to the successful students.
About 35,000 laptops will be distributed under the scheme till February 20, with 32 percent of the laptops allocated to the students of South Punjab. In total, 20,000 students from universities, 14,000 from colleges, 4,000 from industry and agriculture, and 2,000 from medical colleges will get these laptops. The aim of this initiative is to acquaint students of all regions of Punjab with modern technology and make them more successful in education.
Chief Minister Punjab has also started the Honhar scholarship program under which scholarships will be given to 30 thousand students, including 18 thousand female students. Under this scheme, full tuition fees of students will be paid and students of 30 thousand government and 10 thousand private educational institutions across Punjab will benefit from this program. The Chief Minister has emphasized to ensure that transparency is maintained in the scheme and all students are rewarded according to their hard work.
