Punjab Students Bikes Scheme 2024-25
The Punjab government has started the Punajb Students Bikes Scheme for the students on the special instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister. Under this scheme, electric and petrol bikes are being provided to the successful students through the lottery. The Punjab government is not only subsidizing the bikes in this scheme but also providing an opportunity to get them through interest-free installments.

Subsidy and other facilities
Under the Student Bikes Scheme, a subsidy of Rs 50,000 is being given on electric bikes and Rs 20,000 on petrol bikes. Apart from this, all the expenses of bank processing charges and number plate are being borne by the Punjab government itself. Bank of Punjab is in constant touch with the selected candidates of the scheme to complete the applications and provide them with bikes.
Last Date for Completing the Application First Phase
The government has announced that the successful students who have not yet completed their applications should complete all their details by 10 November 2024, 12 midnight. Students can use the Student Bikes Portal (bikes.punjab.gov.pk) or Bank of Punjab’s Digital Landing Program App (DLP Mobile Application) to complete the application.

Consequences for not completing the application
If the students do not complete their application or deposit their equity amount in the bank account within the stipulated time, their applications will be cancelled. In such a case, bikes will be provided by adding other students from the waiting list.
How to report non-application
Students who do not want to submit their application, should inform their educational institution or Bank of Punjab through an affidavit. A sample affidavit is available on the Students Bikes portal.

The Punjab government has made great progress in the bike scheme for students and has increased the number of bikes from 20 thousand to 27 thousand 200, while it has also been announced to provide bikes to all applying girls. According to the spokesman of the transport department, free bikes are being given to orphan students, and the Bank of Punjab has approved loans to 20 thousand students.
